Heyyyyyyyy it's Ivy again! So, what Heidi wrote about earlier just made me think about when I was brought to my new home so I'm going to tell you about it in FULL DETAIL!!!!!! :)
Okay so here we go...
I was standing, caged up in the raspberry American Girl box. I saw feet passing by me. I tried to move but yet, I couldn't; my limbs were all attached to the white backboard of the box. I couldn't stand it. I had stood there for the whole day. Somebody must want me, some girl must need me, and someone must come and get me!
And then I saw her. First, just her feet. But instead of passing right on by like everybody else, she stands there for a while. At the moment, I didn't know that it was her birthday, that I was going to be her first doll, and that she was a LimeGirl. But as soon as she crouched down to pick me up, I knew all that was true.
She grabbed me off the shelf like free candy, but I didn't mind. I was intrigued by how much she looked like me. Black hair, brown almond-shaped eyes, and soft light skin. I immediately knew she was the one I had been waiting for. I was placed on the counter of the AG Place, New York.
And actually, at the moment, I wasn't feeling so touchy and such; I was more like, "YIPPEE! I am FINALLY getting out of the WRETCHED PLACE! Home, here I COME!"
Haha, anyway, soon I was on my first train ride home. She lifted me out of the box and stroked my hair. I closed my eyes gingerly as she lay me down, and when she sat me up and lifted me to the window, it was so cool! There was darkness, as well as daylight. Wonderful! Just simply wonderful!
So that's how I became one certain LimeGirl's first doll. And I know I will always have a special place in her heart, even if she comes to own 200 other dolls. Because I will always be the first.
SO TO ALL THOSE DOLLS YET TO BE BROUGHT HOME--have faith! Your day will come, like mine did.
